Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us in "server log files". These are:

  • Accessed URL

  • Time of the server request

  • anonymized IP address

These data will not be combined with data from other sources.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) DSGVO, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract.

Contact form

Should you send us questions via the contact form, we will collect the data entered on the form, including the contact details you provide, to answer your question and any follow-up questions. We do not share this information without your permission.

We will, therefore, process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent per Art. 6 (1)(a) DSGVO. You may revoke your consent at any time. An informal email making this request is sufficient. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.

We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains (e.g. after fulfilling your request). Any mandatory statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected by this provision.

Processing of data (customer and contract data)

We collect, process, and use personal data only insofar as it is necessary to establish, or modify legal relationships with us (master data). This is done based on Art. 6 (1) (b) DSGVO, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract. We collect, process and use your personal data when accessing our website (usage data) only to the extent required to enable you to access our service or to bill you for the same.

Collected customer data shall be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Legal retention periods remain unaffected.

Data transferred when signing up for services and digital content

We transmit personally identifiable data to third parties only to the extent required to fulfill the terms of your contract with us, for example, to banks entrusted to process your payments.

Your data will not be transmitted for any other purpose unless you have given your express permission to do so. Your data will not be disclosed to third parties for advertising purposes without your express consent.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) DSGVO, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract.

Google Web Fonts

This site uses the so-called Web fonts, which are provided by Google for displaying the fonts in a uniform manner. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts to your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font is used by your computer.

Adobe Typekit

This site uses the so-called Web fonts, which are provided by Adobe Typekit. Typekit is provided by Adobe. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts to your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. This contains a server contact with Adobe (in the US). Your anonymized IP address will be collected by the Adobe Website. Find further information here: Typekit Privacy

SSL encryption

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection in your browser's address line when it changes from "http://" to "https://" and the lock icon in your browser line is visible. If SSL encryption is activated, the data that you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

Newsletter

We offer a newsletter with which you can inform yourself about the latest news. You can find an overview here.

We use the so-called double-opt-in procedure for newsletter registration. This means that after you have entered your e-mail address, we will send you a confirmation e-mail to the specified e-mail address in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm this, your registration will be automatically deleted after a maximum of six months. If you confirm receipt of the newsletter, we will store your e-mail address until you unsubscribe. The storage serves the sole purpose of being able to send you the newsletter. Furthermore, we store your IP addresses and the time of sending the first e-mail when you register and confirm in order to prevent misuse of your personal data.

The only mandatory data for sending the newsletter is the e-mail address.

You can revoke your consent to the sending of the newsletter at any time. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent up to the revocation. You can declare the revocation by clicking on the link provided in every newsletter e-mail, or by sending a message to the contact details provided in the imprint. The data you provide will not be passed on to third parties.

We would like to point out that we evaluate your user behaviour when sending the newsletter. On the one hand, we measure whether the newsletter is opened by the recipients ("opening rate") and on the other hand whether linked content in the newsletter is visited ("click rate").

For this evaluation, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons, also called tracking pixels. These are single-pixel image files that link to specific websites and thus enable us to evaluate your user behaviour. This is done by collecting the data mentioned in section 4 (using a shortened IP address) as well as web beacons that are assigned to your email address and linked to a separate ID. Links received in the newsletter also contain this ID. The information collected in this way is stored by the newsletter provider on its server in the European Economic Area.

Such tracking of the "open rate" is not possible if you have deactivated the display of images by default in your e-mail programme. In this case, however, the newsletter will not be displayed to you in full and you may not be able to use all the functions. If you display the images manually, the above-mentioned tracking takes place.

4. Plugins and tools

YouTube

We use the YouTube.com platform to post our own videos and make them publicly accessible. YouTube is the service of a third party not affiliated with us, namely YouTube LLC.

Some of the Internet pages of our website contain links or connections to the YouTube website. In general, we are not responsible for the content of linked websites. However, if you follow a link to YouTube, we would like to point out that YouTube stores the data of its users (e.g. personal information, IP address) in accordance with its own data usage guidelines and uses it for business purposes.

We also directly embed videos stored on YouTube on some of our Internet pages. With this integration, content from the YouTube website is displayed in parts of a browser window. However, the YouTube videos are only called up by clicking on them separately. This technique is also called "framing". When you call up a (sub-)page of our website on which YouTube videos are embedded in this form, a connection is established to the YouTube servers and the content is displayed on the website by informing your browser.

YouTube content is only integrated in "extended data protection mode". YouTube itself provides this mode and thus ensures that YouTube does not initially save any cookies on your device. However, when the relevant pages are called up, the IP address and the other data mentioned in section 4 are transmitted and thus, in particular, information is provided as to which of our Internet pages you have visited. However, this information cannot be attributed to you unless you have logged in to YouTube or another Google service (e.g. Google+) before accessing the page or are permanently logged in.

As soon as you start the playback of an embedded video by clicking on it, YouTube only saves cookies on your device through the extended data protection mode, which do not contain any personally identifiable data, unless you are currently logged in to a Google service. These cookies can be prevented by appropriate browser settings and extensions.
